Door Knobs of the French Quarter

Door Knobs of the French Quarter

Door Knobs of the French Quarter, New Orleans - Louisiana

This past Sunday I joined some friends in an excursion that will take several days (weeks) to complete, walk every and each single block of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Although I have walked the French Quarter several times in the past 4.5 years, I really have never “walked,” appreciated the diverse architecture and details that this historic neighborhood of New Orleans has to offer.

Door Knobs is the first of many series I will be posting showcasing the French Quarter; there is so much to post!

  1. I actually just got back from my first NOLA visit, and I love how much character the buildings in the French Quarter have. Great images of a beautiful place! 🙂

  2. I love that you focused on a specific detail. Very nice. I have a ‘thing’ for doors and windows but I’ve never looked close enough to see the door knobs. You’ve inspired me to look a little closer at those doors that catch my eye.

    • New Orleans has a lot of detail in its architecture and culture. I have walked the French Quarter several times, but never paying attention to the small details. I guess this time around, I started to look closer to door details, wrought iron work and door knobs. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
