Street Performers of Royal Street in the French Quarter, New Orleans.
Strolling Royal Street on any given day is as picturesque and entertaining as any festival. Starting on the 200 block of Royal Street in the French Quarter you will find brass bands, jazz bands, trios, tarot card readers, jugglers, violin players, mimes, mannequins, magicians and many other kinds of musicians. There is no need to go into a club to enjoy a great jazz band, just walk down the street and enjoy the neighborhood.
Hardworking Mules of the French Quarter
A visit to New Orleans is not complete without a carriage ride down the historic streets of the French Quarter. These mules work day in and day out down, hot or cold, rain or shine entertaining visitors and locals alike. New Orleans Carriages.
French Quarter Festival 2012
Music Festivals, actually festivals overall, are not my thing. This year, I forced myself to go out and capture the essence of French Quarter Fest; instead, I walked around with the camera and extra lenses that I never used and I could not get inspired by it at all. I guess, I will have to try again during Jazz Fest next week. Pat O’s hurricane(ss) were a great treat!

Water Sports in Pass Christian, Mississippi
It seems as though I have been spending a lot of time on the other side of the State border, Mississippi. This past weekend, I was invited to join a wonderful family celebrate Easter in Pass Christian, Mississippi located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and Bay St. Louis. During the visit, I was mesmerized by the tranquil surroundings and people exercising water sports; kayaking at sunset, sailing, paddle boarding, tubbing, water skiing. I think I will be inviting myself over more often.
